Frequently asked questions
How do you handle parent vs child as the patient?
The child is the patient (the diagnosis bearer for insurance). The parent is the authorized representative — they book, pay, and view appointments. Confidentiality boundaries respect age.
Can I bill for parent-only sessions?
Yes — 90846 (without patient present) is supported. Parent debrief sessions are properly documented and billable.
Can I coordinate with schools?
Yes. School coordination notes are a separate note type. Release-of-information forms can be signed digitally and stored on file.
