Scheduling

Tasks

Assignable to-dos with due dates, priority, and client links for the whole team.

Updated May 7, 2026

Tasks are assignable to-dos. Use them for follow-ups, paperwork, anything that needs to happen but isn't an appointment. They show up in the assignee's task list and roll into the dashboard's todo card so nothing slips.

Tasks are available on Solo and above.

Create a task

  1. Open Tasks in the sidebar.
  2. Click New Task.
  3. Fill in the details:
    • Title: a clear description of what needs doing.
    • Type: ad-hoc, follow-up, or treatment-plan related.
    • Assignee: the practitioner or admin responsible.
    • Due date.
    • Priority: low, medium, or high.
    • Client or appointment to link the task to (optional).
  4. Click Save.

Where tasks come from

  • Manual tasks you or a teammate create.
  • Follow-up tasks linked to a completed appointment, useful for "send treatment summary by Friday."
  • Auto-generated tasks from treatment plans when a check-in or review date approaches.

Manage tasks

  • Filter by assignee, status, priority, or due date.
  • Mark complete when a task is done. Completed tasks are archived but stay searchable.
  • Reassign to a different practitioner if responsibilities shift.
  • Overdue tasks are highlighted in the list and surface on the dashboard's todo card.

Tips

  • Start each day with a glance at your task list, then move to the calendar.
  • The client link is the fastest way to jump from a task into the right client's profile.
  • For tasks that recur (paperwork every Friday), create a treatment plan task or a manual reminder rather than rewriting the same task each week.
