Keep the conversation connected.

Write to any client from Stillpoint. They read and reply in their client portal, and when they are offline they get a notice that never carries the message.

A short film of secure messaging in Stillpoint, with music, on-screen text and no narration, on fictional practice data. It opens on a painting. Client messages on Home, the Messages workspace, starting a new message by searching for a client by name, a new thread that shows only the client's name and email, a short follow-up typed and sent, and the sent message kept in the thread. If the client is offline they get a notice, not the message, and read it in their client portal. Back on Home, the thread is one click away.

One place for every client thread.

Messages is a workspace of its own: your conversations on the left, newest first, and the open thread on the right. New replies arrive while you work, with no refresh, and search narrows the list by name or by what was last said.

One thread per client
Choosing a client who already has a conversation opens it, so a client's history never splits in two.
Your threads, not the whole team's
Each practitioner sees the conversations they are part of. A colleague's stay theirs.
On Home as well
The dashboard's Messages card shows your latest threads and how many are unread.

Start with any client.

Press New and find the client. The thread is only created when you send the first message, and the draft tells you what happens next: if they are offline, they get a secure notification.

Search by name or email
Your client list, filtered as you type. Clients you already write to are marked Existing.
You open the line
Conversations start from the practice. Clients reply in the thread you began.
Room to say it
Up to 2,000 characters in a message.

A notice, never the message.

When a client is offline, Stillpoint sends a short notice that names you and your practice and links to the thread. The message itself stays in Stillpoint, behind the client's own sign-in.

Email
Who wrote, and a View message button. No message text and no preview.
Text
A link to their portal, for clients who have agreed to texts, in the US and Canada.
Client portal
Clients sign in with an emailed link, no password, and reply from their portal.

Encrypted messages. Every read on the record.

Client conversations get the care clinical records do. The protections behind them, from the BAA US practices accept in the app to the audit log you can filter, are on the security and HIPAA page.

Encrypted before it is stored
Message text is encrypted with AES-256-GCM, the same protection clinical notes get.
In the PHI audit log
Opening a thread, reading and sending are logged, without the message text.
Previews that expire
A short plain-text preview of each message is kept for 24 hours, then erased. Notices never include it.

Keep the conversation in one place.

Free to start. No credit card required. Secure messaging is included on the Solo and Professional plans.
