Stillpoint Social

Write once and schedule to Instagram and Facebook from one queue, with Clio drafting from your own services, classes and openings.

Updated September 19, 2026

Social is one queue for your practice's Instagram and Facebook posts. You write a post once, see how each network will show it, and pick a time. Clio can draft a post from things already in Stillpoint, such as a service, a class with places left, an open day in the week ahead, an article you published, or a review a client agreed to share.

Three things are always true:

  • Nothing publishes without you scheduling it.
  • Clio can draft, but you approve every word before it goes anywhere.
  • You can change or cancel a post any time before it goes out.

Social is an optional add-on. It is included in your 14-day trial, and after that it is a flat monthly price per practice, however many practitioners you have. Owners and admins can open it.

Turn it on

  1. Open Billing.
  2. Find Stillpoint Social under add-ons and choose Add. During your trial it is already on.
  3. Social appears in the sidebar. The first visit walks you through setup: connect an account, pick a voice, choose what you post about, decide what Clio may read, and set how often you want to post.

You can finish setup without connecting an account. Nothing will publish until you connect one in Settings. See Connect Instagram and Facebook for the requirements and what to do when a connection fails.

Write a post

  1. Open Social and choose Write a post.
  2. Caption: write it the way you would say it, or choose What could we post about? to see starters drawn from your practice, then Draft with Clio to get a first draft you can edit.
  3. Media: add images or a video. Instagram will not accept a post with no image, so a text-only post goes to Facebook alone. Video publishes as a Reel on both networks.
  4. Where it goes: tick the networks. The preview on the right shows the post the way each network will display it.
  5. When: pick a date and time, or leave it and choose Save as draft.
  6. Choose Schedule.

Posts go out within about five minutes of their scheduled time. While that happens the post shows as Sending, then Sent with a link to view it on each network.

Once a post has been sent, or a send has been attempted, its wording cannot change. Duplicate it to start a new post from the same words, or Cancel it if it has not gone out yet. Cancelling a post that already reached one network leaves that network's post in place and stops the rest.

The queue and the calendar

The list shows what is Scheduled, what is in Drafts, and what has been Sent. Switch to Calendar to see the same posts by day. The posting plan you set during setup shows how many posts each network has in the week ahead and lets you know when you are one short.

Clio and drafts

Clio drafts only from your own content, and only the sources you allow under What Clio may read in Settings: services, website copy, articles, classes and workshops, open appointment times, and reviews. Clio never reads clinical notes or client records. Open appointment times are offered as days, never a time and never a name. A review is only offered if the client's consent allows sharing it.

Drafts land in the composer for you to edit. Clio never schedules or publishes.

A wellness-aware check runs on every caption before it goes out. It flags wording that could read as a health-outcome or compliance claim, pricing claims, competitor names, spam-style phrasing and shouting in capitals. A flag does not block the post. It is there so you can decide.

Approval

Under Review and alerts in Settings, choose when a post has to be read by a person before it goes out:

  • Hold anything Clio wrote on its own: a draft nobody has read waits for approval. Anything you wrote goes as scheduled.
  • Hold every post: nothing goes out until someone approves it, however it was written.
  • Hold nothing: posts go out as scheduled. Flags are still recorded against each post.

You can also choose who is emailed when a post did not go out, including one that reached one network but not another, and when an account needs reconnecting.

Voice, themes and posting plan

  • Voice and themes sets how the practice sounds (for example warm and personal, or calm and clinical), what you post about, and any house rules Clio should follow, such as "we say clients rather than patients".
  • Posting plan sets how many posts a week you aim for on each network, which days you prefer, and your default posting times.

When the trial ends

If you do not add Social before your trial ends, posts cannot be scheduled past the end of the trial, anything still waiting is cancelled, and you get an email confirming what was cancelled. Add Social from Billing at any time to pick up where you left off. Connected accounts stay connected.
