Most bookings come in through your published booking page. You'll create them manually for walk-ins, phone bookings, or when you want to add an appointment on a client's behalf.
Create a Booking
Updated May 7, 2026
Steps
- Open the Calendar and click New Booking, or click directly on an empty time slot to pre-fill the date and time.
- Pick the client. Search by name or email; if they aren't in your practice yet, you can create their record inline by entering name and contact info.
- Choose the service. Duration and price auto-fill from the service configuration.
- Pick the practitioner if your practice has more than one.
- Pick the location if your practice has more than one configured.
- Confirm the date and time.
- Optionally add internal notes the client won't see.
- Click Create Booking.
What happens next
- The appointment lands on the calendar immediately.
- The client gets a confirmation email. If their record has a phone number and reminder SMS is enabled in Settings, they also get a text.
- A reminder is queued automatically based on your notification schedule.
Things to keep in mind
- Bookings outside the selected practitioner's availability prompt a warning, but you can still proceed if you intend to override your schedule.
- The price shown is the service default. You can adjust it on the resulting invoice if needed.
- If you need a recurring schedule rather than a one-off, use Recurring Appointment Series instead.
