AI Note Expansion

AI Note Expansion helps you document sessions faster. Write a few sentences about what happened, and Stillpoint's AI expands them into a fully structured clinical note using your preferred template format.

How It Works

1. Open a client's profile and navigate to the Notes tab
2. Click New Note and select a template (SOAP, DAP, or progress note)
3. In the Quick Notes field, type a brief summary of the session -- a few sentences or bullet points are enough
4. Click Expand with AI
5. The AI generates a structured note filling in each section of your chosen template
6. Review and edit the expanded note as needed
7. Click Save to store the final version

Supported Formats

• SOAP -- Subjective, Objective, Assessment, Plan
• DAP -- Data, Assessment, Plan
• Progress note -- Free-form structured summary with key sections

What the AI Does

The AI takes your brief input and organizes it into the appropriate sections. It does not fabricate clinical details -- it structures and expands the information you provide into professional language suitable for clinical documentation.

Editing Expanded Notes

After the AI generates the note, you have full control:

• Edit any section before saving
• Add details the AI may have placed in the wrong section
• Remove content that doesn't apply
• The AI expansion is a starting point, not the final word

Tips

• The more detail you include in your quick notes, the better the expansion
• Review every expanded note before saving -- AI is a tool, not a replacement for clinical judgment
• Use consistent terminology in your quick notes for more predictable results
